| Site Philosophy OK we know what you are thinking (we do mind reading on here too!). "With all the websites out there why should I invest my valuable time on yours rather than XYZ or makeaquickbucktrading.com?" The answer of course is, (and you knew we'd say this so welcome to the club!) that we are different. We are independent, owe no allegiance to any commercial venture and we are active traders ourselves. We are trading the markets we talk about, not sitting in an armchair and commentating in comfort. As long term users of bulletin boards we also know what people like and dislike about them. You won't find aggression tolerated or money making scams on this board, nor will you be subjected to any hard sell or made to read long threads (hoping the thread will eventually go back on topic) where people witter on about last nights drinking binge. If you want knitting patterns, politics and people on ego trips go elsewhere. So that is what we aren't. What we are is straightforward and honest about how hard trading and active investing can be at times. We seek to give you practical tools to support and improve your trading and we promise that we will invest time and energy in the site to keep it up to date and valuable to you as users. The overall philosophy of the site is that we can all improve and learn about trading and investing no matter how experienced we might be and that we can usefully learn from sharing ideas and techniques with each other. From a learning perspective the only way you can achieve that is to create a site where people feel safe to post. For that reason we will ruthlessly cull posts that do not fit with the ethos of the site. Join us and become part of a community which is lively, fun and informative, at the end of the day it can only work if there is communication. Please do not be afraid to ask any questions.
